The Popular Show Season Four Reveals the Soldiers Table

From the very beginning of Campaign 4, fresh DM Brennan Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with extensive world-building, a wide array of personalities, and a exciting storyline showcasing celestial beings, evil spirits, and malevolent powers growing in power within the city.

Warning: Key plot points for Episode 3 of the new season follow below.

The Combat-Oriented Party Introduced

The latest chapter ended with a huge suspense moment and introduced the first table of adventurers who will separate from the central cast to embark on their independent quest, distinct from the remaining groups.

The combat-focused team consists of Teor Pridesire (portrayed by the voice actor), Thimble (the talented performer), the strong-willed figure (Whitney), Wicander (Sam Riegel), and the mysterious adventurer (the actor).

The Reason for Division

Given a large ensemble, it was clear from the outset that maintaining everyone at the same party would be unworkable.

That’s why, the opening chapters of this story serve as an Introduction, intertwining the personal journeys before branching into three distinct groups: Warriors, Planners, and Seekers.

The Nature of the Warrior Group

As described by Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Soldiers table is for participants who prefer a classically intense battle-oriented story mode where diplomatic options are scarce.

At first glance, figures such as the squeamish cleric Wicander Halovar might seem mismatched, but the developments of the third episode demonstrate why these five characters are perfectly fit for the Soldiers table.

Motivations for Departure

To begin with, the group knows exactly where to proceed after a intense first encounter with The Crow Keepers.

A former ally of the deceased character—whose demise started the narrative’s action—used the foes for his own means, invading the secret base, attacking the character, and taking all the powerful objects to dispose of.

Casimir then settled his obligations and ran away to a fortified location in the remote area, above the urban center, with Teor’s brother hot on his heels.

Individual Reasons

Additionally, each member has a specific drive to leave the city the urban setting:

  • Thimble, as Thjazi’s partner and closest confidant, wants retribution.
  • Kattigan knows the northern area and cautions that it is a nasty environment.
  • The strong character and The healer, having resisted his family’s wishes to execute Teor and instead freed him, have no other options.
  • But, their position as important members in House Halovar could help the party enter places they normally couldn’t.
  • Moreover, Teor pledged a eternal obligation to The cleric for his deliverance and will now follow him anywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

Lastly, all of them are wanted by the powers that control the setting for a range of causes, making staying in the city too risky:

  • The rogue and The hero are notorious outlaws.
  • Tyranny and Wicander turned against the powerful family and the army of fiends they are aligned with.
  • The target is marked for death by House Halovar.

This results in them little choice but to journey toward the northern region in quest for Casimir.

What’s Next?

From the recent installment’s post-show segment, we find out that the combat party will be absent the following episode, leaving the other eight cast members to round up the Questers and Planners groups.

Audiences can look forward to finding out which adventurers will be in which group in the season’s final introductory chapter, streaming live on the upcoming Thursday.
