Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to promote next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two time world boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
Despite these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's largest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As both boxers met for the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly happening.
